When you are designing a room you are looking to express yourself through your décor and art work.  Sometimes it is hard to find a painting in just the right subject or colors to harmonize with your interior.

Although some clients have something particular in mind, others need help or prefer to be surprised.  I would like to offer my expertise in helping you further define your space with a custom designed painting to do just that.  

I have painted many pictures for my own home

and others to strengthen an existing decorating theme or to manifest the homeowners’ dream design statement.

In addition, I have painted Custom art to bring energies of a room into balance.  Feng Shui, the ancient aesthetic art of spaces, is based on bringing the correct chi or energy to a room by harmonizing the five elements: water, wood, metal, fire and earth.  A shortage of an element in a room, can be filled in with artwork.  For example, a room with too much fire or yang energy can be “cooled” with a picture of water, a money /wealth corner can be activated with a mural of bamboo stalks, and A picture containing lovers or symbols of marriage can be placed in the master bedroom to enliven the marriage chi.

I use acrylic paints for furniture and murals and a combination of acrylics and oil paints for hanging paintings. The acrylic paints lend themselves to rapid composition development and the oils give depth and luminosity via glazes.
